There are encounters that don't really seem like encounters, they are recognitions. As if, in front of someone, a part of us already knew. It doesn't matter how big the world is, how many people cross our lives, how many possibilities we could have chosen. Sometimes we meet someone and feel something inexplicably familiar.
I see you. I recognize you. And with you I can be me. This is what the two peacocks in the center of the artwork tell. Around them everything explodes: color, matter, light, movement. The world continues to be immense, chaotic, full of possibilities. Yet they remain there, close. Because the deepest love is not born when we find someone who completes us. It is born when we meet someone in front of whom we do not need to become anything else to be loved. Someone who recognizes our light, but also our shadows. Our strength and our fragility. What we show and what we guard.
And chooses to stay. Perhaps loving also means this: recognizing each other, among millions of souls, and feeling that right there we can finally be ourselves.
