“I didn’t choose art. Art chose me.”
My name is Giada Todesco, and I am an Italian contemporary artist.
But to truly tell you who I am, I can’t begin with my artworks, my exhibitions, or the places my art has taken me. I have to begin with a time in my life when I felt lost.
I struggled with anxiety and panic attacks. I know what it feels like to be afraid you can’t breathe, and to experience that strange feeling of life continuing normally around you while, inside, you feel disconnected from yourself.
Then, one summer, I remembered something I had always loved doing with my father: painting.
My signature is light
While everyone else was leaving for their summer holidays, I felt the need to stay. To stop. To be with myself. To create. I bought canvases, colors and materials, and I began. I wasn’t looking for an artistic career. I was trying to find myself again.
Day after day, fear became color, confusion became texture, emotions became shapes. While I was creating something outside of myself, I was healing my soul. Art gave me back peace, lightness and freedom. It made me feel alive again. And that is where everything I do today began.
My signature is light. If there is one element that defines my work, it is gold.
To me, gold represents more than beauty or preciousness. It represents light: the light I had to rediscover within myself and the light I now want to bring into other people’s homes.
Matter, Nature, and Symbols
My style combines texture, color, movement and gold. I create vibrant, imperfect, three-dimensional works that transform depending on the light and the perspective from which they are viewed.
Nature and animals are also an essential part of my artistic language. Butterflies, swans, horses, trees, flowers. They are never simply subjects. They represent transformation, love, freedom, independence, family, strength and rebirth.
Every artwork begins with a story, because I want those who look at it to be able to recognize something of their own story within it.
From my story to the world
Then, artwork after artwork, what I had initially created to heal myself began to move other people too. My works left my studio and started traveling.
Today, my art is part of private collections in Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Monaco and Spain, and I continue to dream of new countries, new homes and new places for my art to reach.
Exhibitions followed: ENTHEOS at Galleria Cael, REBIRTH at Il Grattacielo, UNSTOPPABLE at Galleria San Babila, LUCE at the Yacht Club de Monaco, and being selected as Featured Artist for The Longevity Code Gala Dinner in Venice during the Venice Film Festival.

And gold, changing with the light throughout the day, reminding you how precious the life you are building truly is.
That is what I want to create.
And my world does not end with an artwork. Through workshops and artistic experiences, I want others to experience firsthand what art has given me: the opportunity to stop, create and listen to yourself.
And through my Membership, those who collect my work become part of my artistic world through previews, exhibitions, events, gatherings and new experiences. Because I believe art should never simply be observed. It should be lived.
